INDIGENOUS AGRICULTURE AND TRADITIONAL KNOWLEDGE IN THE VILLAGE OF SÃO JOSÉ DO GALIBI IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF OIAPOQUE IN THE FIRST TWO DECADES OF THE 21ST CENTURY

The indigenous people are famous for their agricultural activities. Ever since the existence of an indigenous technique for processing manioc was discovered, flour from this root has been consumed by all those involved in colonization and has remained on the table ever since. This work brings to the Social History of Labor scenario a study of indigenous agriculture and traditional knowledge in the São José do Galibi Village of the Galibi Kali'na ethnic group in the municipality of Oiapoque. In this context, the aim of this work is to understand the practices of indigenous agriculture linked to the ethnic identity and traditional knowledge of the Galibi Kali'na in the village of São José do Galibi, in the municipality in question, in the first two decades of the 21st century. The study methodology includes bibliographical research, documentary research and field research. The aim of the research is to find out how the practice of indigenous agriculture is interlinked with the ethnic identity and traditional knowledge of the Galibi Kali'na in the village of São José do Galibi, in the municipality of Oiapoque, and how the socio-economic construction of agriculture occurs in order to maintain their ethnic identity. In order to provide a theoretical-methodological framework for the analysis of the question presented, the theme is linked to the areas of History and Anthropology. According to the research timetable, the main results of this research are to be found in the bibliographical and documentary analysis of the first and second chapters.
