SUMMARY:

This study analyzes the implications of a process of continuing education with teachers of Elementary School I of the Elementary School - Popular Effort, based on the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) as an innovative strategy for the development of inclusive pedagogical practices in Elementary School I classes of students with special educational needs. 15 (fifteen) regular school teachers and 03 (three) special education teachers will participate in the study. The research is based on the qualitative approach, developing based on the principles of collaborative research. In the investigative process, the instruments used will be questionnaires, directed to managers and teachers participating in the research, a script for observation in the classroom, with records in field diaries and interventions, which occurred during the training sessions. In order to boost the research process, we will structure a continuing education course, with a workload of 120 hours, entitled: Inclusive and collaborative pedagogical practices in the continuing education of the Elementary School teacher: developing principles of UDL. The results will be analyzed through three thematic axes that guide the organization of data analysis, namely: 1 – Regular education teachers and demands for the development of inclusive pedagogical practices; 2 – Successful didactic strategies of regular school teachers, based on the principles of UDL; 3 – Training spaces and inclusive teaching: contributions of the UDL to the pedagogical practice of regular education teachers. The educational resource will be the implementation of lesson plans using the principles of the DUA, aiming to contribute to the training of regular education and special education teachers who work in EMEF - Popular Effort.
