Accessibility in science teaching for blind students in the final years of elementary school.
ABSTRACT
This research aimed to: develop a training proposal for AEE and regular class teachers, to build accessible resources for teaching science to blind students, enrolled in the final years of elementary school. And as a specific objective: (a) characterize the pedagogical practices of AEE teachers and science teaching teachers, in the process of constructing accessible teaching resources for students with blindness; b) describe the conception of teachers in the area of science knowledge regarding the teaching and learning process of students with blindness; c) identify changes and/or permanence in the conceptions of accessible pedagogical practices, through the application of the training proposal for science teaching. This study has a qualitative approach, of the type of collaborative action research. It was held in a public school in the municipality of Macapá-AP and had the participation of Basic Education teachers, who work with blind students, three teachers who work in AEE and three teachers who work in the area of Science knowledge, three different schools. This research presents as an Educational Resource a proposal for teacher training that addressed the construction of accessible teaching materials for teaching science. The results were systematized and categorized into two categories and 5 subcategories.
