LANDSCAPE ANALYSIS IN THE IGARAPÉ HYDROGRAPHIC BASIN DA FORTALEZA LOCATED BETWEEN THE CITIES OF MACAPÁ AND SANTANA IN THE STATE OF AMAPÁ
Landscape analysis, Hydrographic basin, Fortaleza's Igarapé River, Urban expansion.
In environmental analysis, the systematic study of the landscape is extensively employed, with hydrographic basins standing out as a particularly refined spatial framework, constituting an integrated unit of landscape analysis that is ideal for environmental planning and management. In this context, this research aims to conduct a landscape analysis of the Igarapé da Fortaleza hydrographic basin, establishing a historical and current environmental characterization of land uses and covers. The goal is to establish occupancy patterns to support the proposition of guidelines for planning and managing the basin area. The Igarapé da Fortaleza hydrographic basin encompasses the municipalities of Macapá and Santana in the State of Amapá, specifically located in the urban region, draining a significant area of the city of Macapá and a portion of the city of Santana. Methodologically, this research followed five stages: literature review, socio-economic analysis, cartographic investigation, map processing, and field survey. The literature review explored theoretical and methodological concepts and analyses from relevant research. The second stage focused on secondary socio-economic data from the municipalities in the study area. The third stage sought cartographic data and information about the physical environment. In the fourth stage, mapping of the spatial-temporal evolution analysis was conducted using geoprocessing and remote sensing. The fifth stage pertains to the field survey that validated the mapping, including the collection of coordinates and photographic records, providing a detailed diagnosis of the area.
