INTROSPECTIVE REPORTS: A PERSONAL EXPEDITION TO THE BITTERSWEET MEMORY OF THE IMMIGRATION EXPERIENCE
memory; border; immigration
The work I present aims to understand, from the memories of the interlocutors themselves, their immigration trajectories. The aim is to capture, therefore, only fragments of the particular optical process of each group. For this purpose we take as collaborators two individuals who at a certain point in their lives become immenses in the migratory journey that begins in the north of Amapá, in the city of Oiapoque, and extends to the region of Platô das Guianas, culminating in a trip to Europe and return. These stories are, as the title suggests, bitter, because they are not permeated with any plausive situations from a social point of view. By exploring the personal experiences of the research interlocutors, I intend to delve into their life stories, extracting a detailed and intimate view of their days. This approach helps me not only understand the events and external circumstances that shape their lives, but also the conflicts, challenges and diverse personal emotions that come with the logo of the journey. My intention is to delve into detailed narratives: motivations to immigrate, the circumstances that lead you to leave your country of origin, the hopes and expectations that you have in your relationship to the new country, and the realities that you will find in the future.
