The National Immunization Program provides a broad vaccination schedule for all age
groups, especially for children, the offer of various immunobiologics aims at reducing
morbidity and mortality, control, eradication and elimination of immunoprevensible
diseases. The objective of this study is to analyze the immunological coverage of
children under five years old in the city of Macapá, Amapá. The analysis refers to the
historical series of vaccination coverage in the period from 2003 to 2013, for which data
are derived from the public domain website LocalizaSus. This is a descriptive study
with quantitative approach that analyzed the vaccine coverage of the infant basic
calendar. The immuno-biological evaluated are: BCG vaccine, recombinant hepatitis B
vaccine, pentavalent vaccine, conjugated pneumococcal 10-valent vaccine, human
rotavirus G1P1 vaccine [8] (attenuated) - (VRH), meningococcal C vaccine
(conjugated), polio vaccine 1, 2 and 3 (inactivated), yellow fever vaccine (attenuated),
measles, mumps, rubella (triple viral), Diphtheria, Tetanus and pertussis (DTP)
adsorbed vaccine, polio 1 and 3 (attenuated) (VOPb) - (VOP) vaccine, Hepatitis A
adsorbed vaccine (HA - inactivated), tetra vaccine and varicella vaccine (monovalent).
The analysis was performed by the program Statistical Package for the Social Sciences
(SPSS) version 21, specifically aimed at quantitative data. It is hoped that the research
will contribute to understanding and promotion of public policies for improvement of
the Immunization Program.
