SUMMARY:

Neurobiological modulation protocols using the Radio Electric Asymmetric Conveyor (REAC) technology have been investigated for their potential therapeutic effects on various neurological conditions. This study evaluated the effects of this technology on patients diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease (PD), a condition characterized by significant motor and psychological impairments. Objective: To evaluate the effects of REAC technology protocols on quality of life, pain, and psychological well-being in patients diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. Methods: This is a quasi-experimental, quantitative study conducted with 50 patients diagnosed with PD. The study utilized the WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire, the Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale (DASS-21), the Visual Analog Scale for pain (VAS), and a sociodemographic questionnaire. Results: Statistically significant differences (p < 0.001) were observed in the WHOQOL-BREF domains of health satisfaction, physical, psychological, and environmental aspects. However, the domains of general quality of life and social relationships did not show significant differences. In the parameters evaluated by DASS-21, there was a statistically significant reduction in all levels of anxiety, depression, and stress (p < 0.001). Additionally, the VAS showed a statistically significant reduction in pain levels. Conclusion: REAC technology demonstrated positive effects on the psychological and physical well-being of patients with Parkinson's Disease, particularly in reducing pain. These findings highlight the therapeutic potential of REAC for managing Parkinson's symptoms.
