OCEAN LITERACY IN THE AMAZON: PERCEPTIONS ABOUT THE OCEAN OF THE POPULATION OF THE COASTAL ZONE OF AMAPÁ, BRAZIL

This research seeks to understand how the perceptions of the ocean of the population of the Coastal Zone of Amapá can contribute to the promotion of Sustainability. To achieve the objectives proposed in this research, structured interviews will be used as a data collection technique. For data analysis, the explanatory sequential mixed method will be used, which will allow, firstly, a quantitative analysis and then a qualitative analysis, allowing for a more detailed exploration of the data. The expected results are that the perceptions of the population of the Coastal Zone of Amapá about the ocean are equated with the principles of Ocean Culture and sustainability, which may contribute to the initiative of public policies that promote the sustainable socio-environmental development of the region.
