Suicide constitutes a serious public health problem and is the second leading cause of mortality among the population aged 10 to 29 in the State of Amapá. The general objective of this study was to characterize the care pathway for individuals with suicidal behavior in the State of Amapá. The specific objectives were to identify the epidemiological profile of individuals exhibiting suicidal behavior in the state, describe the profile of healthcare professionals attending to these individuals, and depict the network of care for suicidal behavior. This descriptive, observational, retrospective, cross-sectional study utilized secondary data from the National System of Notifiable Diseases (SINAN) and primary data obtained through questionnaires. The results highlighted a growing trend in suicide attempts among young females and adolescents, a high pattern of repetition, and significant underreporting. Individuals with suicidal behavior access the healthcare network belatedly, primarily through emergency services. Professionals perceived themselves as prepared to assist individuals in crisis due to suicidal behavior, despite having low exposure to the topic. Difficulties were identified in communication and coordination among network services, a lack of protocols and care flows, and gaps in assistance, creating barriers to ongoing care. It is inferred, therefore, that the care pathway requires structuring processes, implementation of a care line, expansion of specialized mental health care, enabling matrix support for primary care teams, in addition to investment in continuous education to qualify network professionals and enhance and improve epidemiological information.

Introduction: Systemic Arterial Hypertension and Diabetes Mellitus are chronic conditions that require longitudinal follow-up and care for management and control. Considering that these conditions are treated and followed up in primary health care, it is almost always the nurse who welcomes them and carries out the initial consultation. From this perspective, the main working instrument of this professional is the Nursing Consultation (NC). Therefore, it is important to use technology, such as an assistive device in the nursing consultation, in order to direct care to the person being consulted. Objective: To build and validate health care technology, in the format of a form for nursing consultations in primary health care for people with Systemic Arterial Hypertension and/or Diabetes Mellitus, supported by the Theory of Diversity and Universality of Cultural Care, by Madeleine Leininger. Material and Methods: Exploratory methodological research developed in three stages: integrative literature review, construction and content validation. The construction of the technology was based on an integrative review, and validation was carried out by a committee of experts and target audience, composed of nurses who care for chronic conditions in primary health care or have expertise in the area. The committees responded to two stages to validate the technology, namely, the first to validate the domains, and the second to validate the items in each domain, for which the Agreement Rate and Content Validity Index (CVI) were used, both with a cutoff point for validation at 80% (0.8). Data collection took place from December 2023 to July 2024, using a questionnaire sent via Google Forms to the committees; a round table discussion was added for the target audience. The analysis and interpretation of the data was carried out through the statistical treatment of the data using absolute and relative frequencies to characterize the responses of the participants, the Binomial Test, to verify agreement for content validation, with a significance level of five percent (5%), the Kappa Index, to measure the level of agreement and consistency of the committees in relation to the permanence or otherwise of the items in the technology and Cronbach's alpha coefficient (α) to analyze internal reliability. Results: 11 experts, 35 people from the target audience participated in the Technology Content validation, with an agreement rate of 88.81% and 96.5% respectively; Content Validity Index of 0.91 and 0.92, respectively; Kappa index > 0.61 and Cronbach's alpha coefficient (α) 0.772 and 0.922 respectively. The contributions of the committees were partially, completely or not accepted by the author. Conclusion: The assistive technology called "Nursing Consultation for people with Hypertension and/or Diabetes based on Congruent Care" was validated in the first round of evaluation by both committees, indicating that it is reliable for use in the Nursing Consultation in primary care.

Periodontal disease and diabetes mellitus are considered to be bidirectional pathologies, since hyperglycemia raises the concentration of glucose and urea in the oral cavity, altering the constitution of dental plaque and thus stimulating the growth of some species of bacteria, while the inflammatory mediators of periodontal disease can cause insulin resistance, fostering the interrelationship between the two conditions. In addition, the expression of these pro-inflammatory cytokines can increase significantly as there is a decrease in immune capacity and an increase in the inflammatory response. To analyze the expression of interleukin-6 in individuals with periodontal disease and diabetes mellitus, using a quantitative approach; the results of 20 participants were analyzed, where the average IL-6 level was 9.275 pg/ml, 20% had stage I periodontitis, 50% stage II, 5% stage III and 25% stage IV and that these were directly influenced by the time of diagnosis of DM, in addition, there was no strong association between the variables presence of periodontitis, degree of periodontitis and IL-6 dosage and Pearson's p-value showed no correlation between the variables investigated. Recognizing the direct influence of periodontal disease on the increased expression of interleukin-6 in patients with DM requires continued data collection. However, through the partial results, it was observed that the time of diagnosis of DM significantly influences the stage of PD, which is why it is extremely important to be monitored by a dental surgeon in order to avoid the development of oral pathologies. Keywords: Diabetes; Periodontitis; Cytokines.

Introduction: Aging is a natural process consisting of physiological changes that can compromise the mobility and autonomy of older adults. The decrease in visual acuity affects the ability to detect obstacles and maintain balance, impacting independence and quality of life. Objective: To assess vision-related quality of life and its influence on falls in a group of elderly individuals in the municipality of Santana-AP. Materials and Methods: This is a descriptive, cross-sectional, and quantitative study, involving the participation of 57 elderly individuals from the Happy Life group. The Snellen Chart and the National Eye Institute Visual Function Questionnaire (NEI VFQ-25) were used to assess visual acuity and aspects of vision-related quality of life. The significance level adopted for the analyses was p-value <0.05. Data from the collection instruments were analyzed using Jamovi software through the Spearman test. Results: There was a statistically significant association between vision-related quality of life and falls, as indicated by the Spearman test applied to the NEI VFQ-25 questionnaire data with a p-value of 0,007. Conclusion: The findings highlight that vision-related quality of life influences the occurrence of falls in the elderly population. Emphasizing the importance of eye health care, regular ophthalmologic examinations are essential to ensure greater autonomy and healthier aging for older adults. Low education levels contribute to difficulties in accessing information about eye care and fall prevention, underscoring the need for preventive and educational strategies for the elderly.

Autism Spectrum Disorder is a multifactorial brain development disorder with a strong genetic basis, encompassing several conditions with apparently different phenotypes across three levels of support. The WHO estimates that one in every hundred children is diagnosed with ASD worldwide and that there is a higher prevalence in boys, with a ratio of 3:1 currently. Studies show that, in addition to changes in cognition, behavioral manifestations and difficulties in communication, a variety of gastrointestinal dysfunctions and symptoms such as constipation, abdominal pain, diarrhea, gas and vomiting can have a very variable prevalence in children with ASD compared to neurotypical children. Furthermore, children with ASD are five times more likely to develop eating difficulties associated with food selectivity than children without ASD. In this context, medicinal cannabis oil has been widely used as a therapeutic drug accessory in the management of autism and its comorbidities in Brazil. Its main components are the cannabinoids Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ9-THC) and Cannabidiol (CBD). Therefore, we sought to verify the effectiveness of this product for pediatric patients aged 3 to 10 years with autism, in the city of Macapá and region - AP, with the following objectives: to characterize the nutritional profile of the studied population, monitor behavioral changes related to food, identify the presence of gastrointestinal symptoms and compare the effects of the compounds used among the age groups of the children. The method used was structured questionnaires and dietary scales applied at two different times: before the use of the oil and three to four months later. The children in the study used three types of oil, all with CBD: broad spectrum, full spectrum and isolated CBD. The results showed a sample with 77.78% of boys and 22.22% of girls, with the majority having a nutritional diagnosis of eutrophy. Few children presented gastrointestinal symptoms. Rigid behaviors, mealtime skills, and food selectivity were more influenced by the use of the oil, and children over 6 years of age had a higher average for food selectivity when compared to those under 6 years of age. Thus, research with medicinal Cannabis in the pediatric population shows itself to be a promising object of study, taking into account the positive effects on the disruptive behavior of patients with autism, the possibility of reducing conventional psychotropic drugs, and the few adverse effects reported by users. Keywords: medical cannabis; autism spectrum disorder; food selectivity.

The present study aimed to evaluate the health, well-being, and quality of life of nursing professionals working at the University Hospital of the Federal University of Amapá (HU-UNIFAP), a young institution inaugurated in 2022. This is a cross-sectional, observational, descriptive study with a quantitative approach that analyzed the working conditions, perception of physical and mental health, and psychosocial factors associated with occupational well-being of these professionals. The research was conducted with 148 nursing professionals, selected through simple random sampling from a population of 245 workers in the hospital's main care areas, such as medical ward, surgical ward, adult ICU, outpatient clinics, and surgical block. Data were collected using validated instruments, including the Work Well-Being Scale (EBET), Yoshitake Fatigue Scale, Insomnia Severity Index (ISI), Short-Form Health Survey (SF-12), and the Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale (DASS-21), in addition to a socio-occupational questionnaire. The analyses were performed using descriptive and inferential statistics, ensuring methodological rigor. The results revealed moderate levels of fatigue and moderate clinical insomnia, highlighting a concerning cycle of exhaustion and poor sleep quality. Despite this, the average indices of professional fulfillment were high, indicating an important protective factor in coping with work demands. Additionally, a high perception of workload was observed, particularly in sectors such as the medical ward and ICU. Symptoms of anxiety, depression, and stress were also prevalent in part of the sample. The analysis emphasized that factors such as multiple job commitments, 12-hour shifts, and the absence of social support worsen working conditions, whereas good interpersonal relationships were associated with reduced negative affect and anxiety. Although HU- UNIFAP showed better indices compared to more established institutions, its initial organizational phase provides greater flexibility for preventive and adaptive

In 2023, approximately 39.9 million people were living with HIV. In Brazil, the renewal of health policies aims to reduce the transmission of the virus and increase adherence to treatment. In view of this, the decentralization of care for PLWHA began to be considered, with Primary Health Care (PHC) as its central focus. However, there are certain challenges that permeate this decentralization of care. In view of this, the general objective is to understand the process of decentralization of care for patients with HIV in the metropolitan region of Macapá. This is a descriptive study, with a qualitative approach, divided into two stages. In the first stage, a bibliographic survey, of the State of the Art type, was carried out, which analyzed the decentralization of care for people living with HIV in Brazil. The second stage of the study was conducted in the cities of Macapá and Santana, where interviews were conducted with 36 health professionals who work in the care of people living with HIV/AIDS. The interviews took place in three health units, in addition to the Specialized Assistance Service (SAE) and the Testing and Counseling Center (CTA). Data collection took place between March and June 2024, with interviews recorded, transcribed, and analyzed in the ATLAS.ti software, resulting in three discussion categories. The findings revealed that, despite the implementation of rapid tests and specific training, the decentralization of care still faces obstacles such as social stigma, overload in UBS, shortage of trained professionals, lack of resources, discontinuity in post-diagnosis follow-up, and evasion of services. The emerging categories were: Decentralization of care for people living with HIV in PHC from the perspective of health professionals and managers in Amapá; Main difficulties in the process of decentralization of care for PLHIV in Amapá; and Strategies for consolidating the decentralization of care. The high turnover of professionals in the UBS of Macapá was a limitation of the research. In view of this, it is essential to implement ongoing training, multidisciplinary support and public policies that strengthen health units. These measures are essential to ensure comprehensive care and strengthen the SUS in the region. Keywords: descentralization; HIV; primary health care.

Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) is a chronic condition with high global prevalence, exerting a significant impact on both public health and economic systems. It is characterized by a metabolic dysfunction resulting from insufficient insulin secretion and/or peripheral resistance to insulin action. Lifestyle-related factors, such as inadequate diet, physical inactivity, and, more broadly, stress, have been associated with the development and worsening of T2DM. The dysfunctional interaction between these factors contributes to physiological alterations and negatively affects the quality of life of affected individuals. In light of this, the aim of this study was to analyze the psycho-emotional aspects and their relationship with biochemical indicators in the quality of life of individuals with type 2 diabetes (T2DM) receiving care at a Primary Health Care Unit. Participants included individuals with a previous diagnosis of T2DM who received care at the Primary Health Unit of the Federal University of Amapá. This is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach, in which stress levels and quality of life were assessed using the Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale – 21 Items (DASS-21), the Diabetes-39 Quality of Life Questionnaire (D-39), and the Diabetes Distress Scale (DDS-17). Biochemical parameters, including glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c), fasting blood glucose, triglycerides, and cortisol, were also measured. The majority of participants were female, over 60 years of age, retired, exclusively dependent on the public health system (SUS), and presented systemic arterial hypertension as the most frequent comorbidity. Regarding the DASS-21 results, most participants showed normal levels of depression, anxiety, and stress. However, the D-39 scores revealed a significant impact of T2DM on quality of life, particularly in the domains of diabetes control and anxiety/concern about health status. The DDS-17 indicated higher levels of distress in the domains of emotional burden and dietary regimen. As for the biochemical parameters, cortisol levels were within normal ranges, while mean values of fasting glucose (186 mg/dL), HbA1c (8.41%), and triglycerides (169 mg/dL) were elevated compared to reference values. Overall, the findings reveal biochemical alterations compatible with poor glycemic control, alongside indicators of emotional distress and impaired quality of life, reinforcing the importance of comprehensive and interdisciplinary approaches in the clinical management of T2DM. Keywords: Glycemic Control; Psychological Stress; Quality of Life.

Serological testing for the hepatitis C virus (HCV) in blood donors is essential for transfusion safety, given the asymptomatic nature of the infection in its early stages. In this context, the present study aimed to analyze the epidemiological profile of blood donors with reactive serology for HCV who were attended at the Hematology and Hemotherapy Institute of Amapá
(HEMOAP) from January 2019 to December 2023. This is a cross-sectional, analytical- retrospective study, conducted through the collection of secondary data from a computerized
database. Data were extracted from the Hemotherapy Units Management System (HEMOVIDA) and analyzed using the JAMOVI statistical software, version 2.4.11. Information was organized according to variables such as sex, age group, marital status, and educational level. To evaluate the relationship between the number of donors deemed unfit due to HCV and time (in years), Pearson’s correlation coefficient was used. Additionally, Fisher’s Exact Test was applied to analyze associations between categorical variables. All analyses considered a 95% significance level (p < 0.05). During the analyzed period, HEMOAP registered 70,606 blood donation candidates. Of these, 1,972 (2.79%) were considered unfit during laboratory screening due to reactive serological markers. Among the unfit donors, 75 showed reactive serology for hepatitis C. Of these, the majority were male, totaling 39 cases (52.0%); 46 (61.33%) were single; 31 (41.33%) had completed higher education; and most,
corresponding to 81.33%, resided in the city of Macapá. A reduction was observed in the HCV- related unfitness rate among blood donors at HEMOAP. Clinical ineligibility analysis revealed
anemia, risky sexual behavior, and low hematocrit as the main impediments to blood donation. In the case of serological ineligibility due to HCV, a higher prevalence was observed among male, young, and single individuals. The identification of these cases reinforces the strategic role of blood centers as sentinel sites for the detection of infectious diseases, especially those with an asymptomatic course, such as hepatitis C. Keywords: Blood donors. Hepacivirus. Blood Safety. Hemotherapy.

Introduction: Viral hepatitis is an infection caused by different viruses that affect the liver. The infection is usually silent, increasing the problem of early detection and treatment. Objective: To describe the clinical, laboratory and epidemiological aspects and factors associated with cases of hepatitis B and C treated at the Reference Center for Tropical Diseases in the state of Amapá. Material and methods: We opted for an exploratory, descriptive methodology with a quantitative and qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out by searching documents, medical records, epidemiological bulletins and others that deal with the subject, from 2013 to 2023, 254 medical records were analyzed of hepatitis B and C patients who have treated or are still being treated, for the qualitative study took place through the application of a semi-structured interview, in which eight patients who accepted the terms of the research and who are being treated for hepatitis B and hepatitis C in the reference unit of the state of Amapá were interviewed. Quantitative data analysis was carried out using Microsoft Excel 2019 software and Statistical Package for the Social Sciences software version 26. The variables were subjected to the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test to check whether they were suitable for parametric tests, Pearson's chi-square association test to detect associations between responses and variables and the Content Analysis method, with the support of ATLAS.ti® software version 25 in relation to qualitative analysis for the management of coded data. Preliminary results: 2019 showed the highest percentage of patients starting treatment for viral hepatitis (17.9%), followed by 2021 (14.3%) and 2017 (12.3%) (Table 1). In addition, based on the qualitative analysis, 164 citations were identified in the textual corpus, emotions and feelings 34 (20.73%), adversities encountered 28 (17.07%), treatment 26 (15.85%), discovery and talk of diagnosis 21 (12.80%), professional health guidance 16 (9.75%), viabilities encountered 16 (9.75%), family dynamics 11 (6.70%), had no knowledge 8 (4.87%), knowledge of the disease 4 (2.43%). Initial considerations: The evidence presented leads us to conclude that care for viral hepatitis, especially B and C, is fragile when it comes to monitoring patients, both in terms of trained professionals, laboratories and diagnostic tests, as well as sociais issues and the well-being of those affected by the disease. Other associated factors, such as fear, anxietyand lack of financial resources to meet needs, are factors that have an impact on life and the success of treatment. In view of the above, there is an urgent need to expand accessto comprehensive care for users with viral hepatitis and timely investigations to discover the disease in order to promote early treatment to avoid severe complications. It is essential that health professionals have ownership of the line of care and finally that the difficulties of decentralizing this care are overcome.
